ASQF® Certified Professional for Project Management - Foundation Level
The CPPM makes it possible to link the key success factors and train the entire team in modern project management in the industrial environment. With ASQF training and certification, you can be one step ahead.
The current version of the Certified Professional for Project Management (CPPM) offers an updated and future-proof version of the established scheme. The authors of the ASQF’s CPPM working group ensure that the content is continuously updated to ensure appropriate training that meets the requirements of employees and the needs of the industry, now and in the future.

Success factors for further training
People as a success factor
The omnipotence of the project leader/project manager in one person, which was frequently encountered in the past, no longer corresponds to the current situation. Agile approaches, the increasing size of projects and the reduction of hierarchies in organizations are leading to a redistribution of responsibility from top to bottom.
Project management skills therefore play a key role in the success of a project throughout the team. The course addresses this topic, raises awareness among course participants and teaches the necessary skills.
Competence as a success factor
In modern project management, the interaction of many different components and stakeholders is necessary on several levels. Course participants gain a basic understanding of this complexity and the essential interrelationships and learn concrete rules for cooperation and behaviors to better deal with difficulties. The basic principles and methods of good team management are explained, as are the key aspects of social skills.
Agile approaches have found their way into software development in many cases, but classic process models are still widely used. The syllabus treats both approaches equally and compares the most important characteristics and preferred areas of application.
Certification as a success factor
The same understanding for the same things avoids misunderstandings and prevents errors and losses. The course is based on standards and current international norms and uses a standardized way of speaking about terms and content.
The Certified Professional for Project Management can be completed with a certification examination by an independent certification body. The certificate, which is recognized and established in the industry, represents additional added value for participants and their organizations.

The ASQF recommends the course and examination of the CPPM “Basic knowledge for software project managers in classic and agile environments” by the authors: Andreas Johannsen, Anne Kramer, Horst Kostal and Ewa Sadowicz (members of the ASQF CPPM working group).
As a supplement and enjoyable read, there is also “In times of flu” by Anne Kramer – please note that this is not a Corona story. The CPPM course is discussed on page 12 of the reading sample.
