Specialist Group Requirements Engineering Bavaria-South
About us
Quality assurance can only determine or improve quality to the extent that the requirements are known – and this is the key to success.
Requirements engineering and requirements management are the basis for establishing effective test management. For this reason, requirements engineering should not be seen as an isolated discipline, but rather as an integrative component and a prerequisite for improving software quality. This is why we founded the Requirements Engineering specialist group in the ASQF e. V.

About us
Without a clear picture of the requirements, quality assurance remains pure guesswork. Only when expectations are precisely described can teams assess whether a product fulfills them – and where improvements are necessary. This brings requirements engineering to the fore: it creates transparency about goals, framework conditions and user needs and thus forms the basis for targeted testing. Instead of functioning as an independent discipline, it acts as a connecting element in the entire development process.
The ASQF e. V. Requirements Engineering specialist group was founded with this in mind. Its purpose is to bring experts together, pool experience and further develop new perspectives and approaches in dealing with requirements.
Topics of our specialist group:
- Exchange of experiences on best practices in requirements engineering based on case studies
- Illumination of scientific fields with points of contact to requirements engineering
- Application of modeling languages (Domain Specific Languages) in the formulation of requirements
- Experience reports on the use of software tools
- Embedding requirements engineering in various process models and agile approaches”
