The Industry of Things World took place in the Berlin Congress Center (bcc) with its unique dome hall and attracted about 1.000 experts from various fields – with the ASQF as supporting association among them.
Keynotes about “Making Sense of the Internet of Things” by Kevin Ashton and “Who will actually monetize the value of your IoT-generated data?” by Nigel Upton were very interesting in their own. Various other speakers also pointed out different aspects of IoT. Ashton explained the evolution of IoT and pointed out the advantages of data coverage and analysis in real-time. Meanwhile Tanja Rueckert focused on the importance of Team Play. On the other hand Christoph Papenfuss described how the Data Management is gaining more and more relevance in a connected world. These are just some examples of great speeches at the IOT World Berlin.
The interactive World Cafés at the second conference day offered a perfect opportunity for Networking and an exchange of expertise. Both are very important for the expert network ASQF. So we, the ASQF, contributed in some sessions as participant, i.e. about the technical and business challenges in the world of connected things and IoT Data. The exhibition was also a good place for networking – we had many interesting talks with the exhibitors like Accenture, HP and Rockwell Automation.
We enjoyed the Industry of Things World. The service, the exhibition and the speeches were great and we are looking forward to the next year!
